Welcome to Fabulous DAMWorld!

Welcome to our world!

DAMWorld is our playground. Our space to try things out, play with ideas, and to blog you up-to-date with our ongoing projects and passions.

You can meet the whole DAM team and read our news blogs which have been conveniently broken down into Company News, Projects and Self Promotion, plus the blog for DAM Racing and our own personal Team Blogs. A few posts are below to get you started.

Anything else we need a home for will probably find its way here in the future, so don't be a stranger!

Big Step Forward for Tom

DAM's supported racing driver, Tom Onslow-Cole had his best result of the year last weekend at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire. The Team Ebay Motors driver, finished second in round 15 of the hard-fought British Touring Car Championship after a battling drive from sixth on the grid, and hopes that this marks the start of a challenge for wins in the second half of the season.

On the road - The Oddball Run!

We have pictures of Bo and Luke (Grant and Colin), with more to come during the day.

DAM are supporting Edward's Trust by taking part in the "Oddball Run" charity car Rally.  If you didn't already know, the guys are driving a Pro-9, Porsche 911RS loosely disguised as the General Lee and doning suitable atire to join in with the "fancy dress" theme. Business Partnership Drives Porsche onto Winner's Podium

Two Redditch businesses will be making tracks to Silverstone next month after their race-prepared Porsche 944 claimed its first victory in the Future Classic Series at the Mallory Park race track in Leicestershire on Sunday 28 August 2011.

Sponsored by DAM Creative, the design and marketing agency, and engineered by Pro-9 Porsche Specialists in Redditch, the 1989 sports car has steadily improved over six races this season to take first position in the highly competitive Classic Sports Car Club series for pre-1990 cars.

Staying Fit Over Winter

As the winter draws in and our eagerness to get out on our bikes fades away into the early darkness, we've found ourselves some motivation in the form of Endomondo. It's an online sports-tracking community which allows you to track, map, compare and compete with your sporting activities, and it's brought about quite a bit of intra-studio competitiveness!

Mountain Biking

When you head out for a ride, you simply open the Endomondo app on your smartphone and let the GPS and software take care of the rest. When you return home, you have a plotted out route map and charts of speed and altitude which are automatically uploaded to the website, and Facebook too if you're so inclined.

As well as trying to beat each other's mountain bike mileage, we're also entered as a team into a half-year winter challenge. It's a bit of fun to get the most mileage in over the winter with the outcome that we'll hopefully emerge from the darkness fit and healthy, rather than in the out-of-shape post-hibernation state we so often find ourselves come springtime.

So, if you fancy monitoring our progress, or getting together a team of your own and joining the challenge, visit the site and check out our DAM Creative team page and the Winter Half-Year Challenge.

Yea-harrrr - It's the Oddball run!

Ready for Le Mans

The famous Le Mans 24 hour race is less than a week away and so, as is traditional, I've been stickering up the car for the journey down to La Sarthe. It's more subtle, and nowhere near as intricate as the liveries we've done for Grant's Porsches the last couple of years, but my 350Z has been stickered using hand cut strips from a tenner's worth of grey vinyl - a bargain I think, if a little bit Fast and Furious!

The sunstrip is an official Le Mans item of 2006 vintage (before the ACO rebranded), but it has been sitting around in my drawer for ages and looks the part!
