Big Step Forward for Tom

DAM's supported racing driver, Tom Onslow-Cole had his best result of the year last weekend at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire. The Team Ebay Motors driver, finished second in round 15 of the hard-fought British Touring Car Championship after a battling drive from sixth on the grid, and hopes that this marks the start of a challenge for wins in the second half of the season.

DAM Creative's Grant Stain talks about the Big Local App on BBC Radio

Grant Stain, Managing Director of DAM Creative and AppHouse UK, was interviewed last Monday on BBC Radio Hereford and Worcester 104FM.

He was talking about the Big Local App and it's worth a listen!

New videos of Big Local App in Redditch with AppHouseUK

The AppHouse team were out and about at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch last week, including our very own Grant and Carl.

Nik had a chat with Maria Magro from Aviva Design. She talks about their inclusion in the Redditch and Bromsgrove edition of the Big Local App - and Nik gives a little reminder that the app is also great for cinema listings!

Nik also summarises key features of the Big Local App. He talks about AppHouseUK's smartphone app and how it's packed full of useful info on local business, news and events.

Don't forget, it's coming to more areas soon so you can be in it!.

'Big Local' council apps launched by Redditch company

The BBC Hereford and Worcester website features a good article on AppHouseUK's new 'Big Local App' which includes quotes from our very own Grant Stain. The article can be viewed here.

For those of you who haven't seen this great new app, The Big Local App is a mobile app developed for the community by AppHouse UK, part of the DAM Group of companies. It is a dedicated local resource directory bringing together businesses, local news, events and information to provide real value to members of each of its edition areas in a way that national directories cannot.

From the article:

Mr. Stain said app development for individual firms is becoming increasingly expensive:

"I came up with the idea because businesses were finding it difficult to get an app developed because of the costs involved - typically you'd be spending tens of thousands of pounds.

The app industry is set to get bigger as businesses realise they aren't just for games, they're actually a really useful way of communicating with customers."
