Oooouch!

Oulton Park 1st October

It was all going very well, the car was running brilliantly and Brett was up with the front runners battling for the lead.  Hot on the tail of a 911 turbo Brett was starting to lap some of the other cars and getting caught up in traffic.  Held up behind a 944 turbo, Brett made his move coming into the bend but was unexpectedly cut up and forced off the track.  The 944S2 which was in hot pursuit behind Brett also got caught and Brett's front end hit it as it tried to avoid the turbo.

Amazingly the whole thing was caught on camera and can be seen in the pics below.

Luckily, despite the "off" Brett managed to regain his pace and finished 6th overall and second in class, so not a bad result, although the car has needed "some care"!

We're all looking forward to the last race of what has been a great season for the DAM Creative/Pro-9 team at Snetterton on 22nd October.

SOOO close!

The DAM Racing Team were at Brands Hatch this weekend, hoping to build on the sucess of Snetterton in the second race of the Future Classics season.  Brett and the team didn't disapoint in qualifying by achieving second on the grid overall, a truely brilliant acheivement given the power of the car and the competition in the lineup!

Things went well for a while with Brett holding his own in 2nd through the start and middle of the race, putting in some fantastic lap times.  Disaster struck though, when after the safety car lap he had an "off" damaging the front of the car. He bravely soldiered on with a "flappy" front spoiler to finish sixth overall and second in class as at Snetterton.

The car and driver are really doing us proud this season and we can't wait for Donnington to try and get that first place trophy on the mantle piece!

Business Partnership Drives Porsche onto Winner's Podium

Two Redditch businesses will be making tracks to Silverstone next month after their race-prepared Porsche 944 claimed its first victory in the Future Classic Series at the Mallory Park race track in Leicestershire on Sunday 28 August 2011.

Brett wins at Mallory Park

Sponsored by DAM Creative, the design and marketing agency, and engineered by Pro-9 Porsche Specialists in Redditch, the 1989 sports car has steadily improved over six races this season to take first position in the highly competitive Classic Sports Car Club series for pre-1990 cars.

Second at Snett!

The Porsche 944 racecar that we support got off to flying start this season with a second in class finish in the Future Classics series run by CSCC.  Brett Evans drove the car for the full 40 minutes getting consistant lap times and showing that all the work training through the winter has really paid off.  The car finished 7th overall and 2nd class losing out to a Lotus Esprit, but was the fastest of all the 944's in the race.

This season the car is now sporting its new DAM Creative 2011 livery along with lightened wings, windows and wing mirrors.  The car really looks the part this year, especially now it's been resprayed in satin black to match the DAM corporate ID.

"We've worked really hard over the winter to get the car competitive, and we're delighted with the result, Brett's performance was fantastic and the car really did us proud"  commented Pro-9 boss Simon Evans, who has been overseeing the rebuilt in the off season.

Next race is at Brands Hatch on 8th May and we're all hoping for another great result - no pressure Brett!
