Two Redditch businesses will be making tracks to Silverstone next month after their race-prepared Porsche 944 claimed its first victory in the Future Classic Series at the Mallory Park race track in Leicestershire on Sunday 28 August 2011.

Sponsored by DAM Creative, the design and marketing agency, and engineered by Pro-9 Porsche Specialists in Redditch, the 1989 sports car has steadily improved over six races this season to take first position in the highly competitive Classic Sports Car Club series for pre-1990 cars.
"We are delighted that we have been able to support the team and the car's development for the last two seasons," said Grant Stain, Managing Director of DAM Creative, "The Pro-9 team has worked tirelessly to continually improve the car and the Mallory result is testament to their engineering skill and dedication."
Brett Evans, the driver and chief mechanic at Pro-9 said, "It's great to finally get a spot at the top of the podium. We've been pushing really hard all season and the car has been fantasic, despite the engine having done 170,000 miles!"
"This is only Brett's second season of racing and he's showing real promise as a talented driver." said Simon Evans, Pro-9 owner and Brett's proud father, "We all have ambitions to make this result a regular occurrence."
After qualifying second on the grid at Mallory Park, Brett conducted a virtually faultless race, lapping consistently for 40 minutes to take the chequered flag seven seconds ahead of his nearest rival.
The DAM Creative/Pro-9 Porsche team will be racing again at Silverstone on Saturday 17th September where they hope to secure another win in the Future Classics Series.
