First Shakedown Test, Snetterton

Yesterday saw the DAM Racing Porsche on track for the first time as we took to Snetterton for the CSCC's test day. As the car was fresh out of the box, our only real aim was to get some time in the car and make sure the setup was good for both drivers.

Brett from Pro-9 took the first session to bed in the brakes and make sure all was well. The car was proving a bit lairy under braking so the front end was stiffened slightly and when I took the second session, the car was looking to be very nimble and excellent under braking.

A few little techinical gremlins raised their head during the day, but much of this was down to the car not having being run before and were general checking and tightening fixes. We've also come up with a couple of extra tweaks to do before raceday - the last session in the wet saw the windscreen fog up completely so a fan will be added for net time!

Importantly for us, the car looked awesome on track! More photos from the day are in the race gallery.
